I. Adriatic Flyway Conference (14-17 April 2009)

Though rare, the hoopoe falls victim to bird hunters again and again.

Bird protection along the migration route from Central and Northeast Europe across the Adriatic Sea to Africa (Adriatic Flyway) is the main topic of a conference which EuroNatur and several partners are going to held at 14-17 April 2009 in Ulicinj (Montenegro).

The pre-conference excursions and the visits during the event will offer a unique opportunity to experience a nearly unknown part of Europe.

Who is the Adriatic Flyway Conference for?

Main aim of the conference is to bring together nature conservationists and ornithologists from the Balkans as well as representatives from international organisations working in bird protection in order to facilitate dialogue between these groups and to point out the major importance of the East Adriatic Coast within the Central European migration route. The conference is an essential tool to promote the importance for protection and sustainable development of the natural areas of the Balkan Region.
