Nature knows no borders
The migration of cranes and other migratory birds illustrates that there are neither Swedish, Finnish, Polish, Russian or German birds. These birds are cosmopolitans in the true sense of the word. On their way to the wintering grounds in southwestern Spain or the birds resting areas in Israel they cross the whole European continent. In fact, migratory birds show clearly how closely different regions in Europe are intermeshed and likewise connected to far away habitats in other continents. Talking about international solidarity, we must admit that nature is well ahead of us. More information about:
