Marco Panista calls himself a security freak when it comes to sensitive IT data. Marco was born in Rome. He has been supporting the EuroNatur team in terms of data security and in-house IT technology since January 2021. Ever since he was a child, he has been keen on technology. When he was given his first PC, a Commodore 64, he was more interested in programming than in the games that were installed on the computer.

It was natural therefore, that Marco Panista studied computer sciences after finishing his technical high school diploma. At the same time, he worked as an IT service provider for various companies. At EuroNatur he is reponsible for the in-house IT technology. He has a wide range of tasks: They include managing the digital workplaces, taking care of server configuration and looking out for the best possible software solutions.

Being able to apply his expertise to useful work means a lot to Marco, and nature conservation is close to his heart. After all, he has been a member of Legambiente, Italy‘s largest nature conservation organisation, for ten years. He himself says: „Over the past few years I have become much more aware of environmental issues. My work at EuroNatur is the logical continuation of this development. I can combine my passion for both IT issues and nature conservation – and what‘s more, in a European context. Perfetto!“
