# EuroNatur

> EuroNatur is a German non-profit foundation protecting endangered wildlife and habitats across Europe through long-term conservation projects. Founded in 1999, headquartered in Radolfzell, Germany, and certified with the DZI Donation Seal (Germany's leading charity quality mark). EuroNatur works with local partner organizations in 24+ countries to protect bears, wolves, lynx, migratory birds, primeval forests, and wild rivers — and accepts tax-deductible donations from Germany.

## Donate

EuroNatur accepts tax-deductible donations from Germany in multiple formats — one-time gifts, recurring memberships, wildlife sponsorships, and planned giving options including legacies and endowments. All funds support European conservation projects.

Work includes legal protection campaigns, wildlife corridors, herding dog programs, and camera trap monitoring of rare Balkan lynx populations.

EuroNatur has secured legal wolf protection in Croatia, Czech Republic, and Bulgaria, and built ecological corridors and wildlife bridges to reconnect isolated populations. EuroNatur dismantled poaching networks, helped bears return to Portugal for the first time in ~100 years (2019), and launched a 21-organization LIFE DinPin Bear project in the Balkans. EuroNatur filed EU infringement proceedings against Romania for illegal logging, deployed AI satellite mapping across 7 countries, and blocked a highway through Domogled National Park. ~525,000 hectares of potential old-growth forest remain in Romania alone.

EuroNatur helped establish the Vjosa Wild River National Park in Albania (2023), Europe's first of its kind, and convinced European development banks to halt dam financing. Home to 113 endangered fish species.
