The dam truth – In cooperation with Patagonia

In the fight against a wave of dam buildings in the Balkans EuroNatur and its partner organisations are receiving active support by Patagonia. The American outdoor clothing company has been committed to the preservation of Europe’s last wild rivers for a long time. Now, Patagonia has started the petition “No Money, No Dams", in which the ecologically orientated company basically calls on international banks to stop their financing of hydroelectric power plants. Please help by signing the petition

On the campaign website you will also learn why the belief in environmentally friendly hydropower is a myth and why each dam, be it ever so small, has a drastically effect on the ecological system. For further information, please click here: https://blueheart.patagonia.com/intl/en/

Another highlight in the cooperation with Patagonia is the documentary “Blue Heart”. With fantastic pictures and moving stories the film describes the fascinating riverine landscapes and tells of its residents. “Blue Heart” was produced in 2018 on behalf of Patagonia and Farm League and is now available in full length on Youtube with subtitles in 11 languages.
