EuroNatur stand at Nature Conservation Days 2026

We look forward to telling you about our work on various occasions.

At our events, we aim to inspire people to protect European nature, share knowledge and work together to create effective initiatives for the preservation of our habitats. You can find us at nature conservation events throughout Germany, as well as at regional city events.

We also offer regular webinars where you can gain exciting and personal insights into the work of our project managers from the comfort of your own computer and exchange ideas with other participants.

Here you will find information about upcoming events that we are organising, some of them in collaboration with project and cooperation partners and some also in English:

 

  • Innsbruck Nature Film Festival (7-11 October 2026)

    EuroNatur made its first appearance at inff back in 2023.

    The Innsbruck Nature Film Festival (INFF) is an annual film competition focusing on nature, the environment and sustainability. The INFF is one of the most important nature film festivals in Europe. On Thursday 8 October, the film *Komarnica: The Wild That Remains* will be screened as part of the festival programme. This short documentary was produced in collaboration with EuroNatur and its river conservation partners. During the panel discussion that follows, EuroNatur project manager Dr Amelie Huber, amongst others, will answer questions from the audience about the film and our work in Montenegro. We will also have a stand in the cinema foyer throughout the day.

  • EuroNatur Award ceremony (15 October 2026)

    The EuroNatur Award honours outstanding commitment to nature conservation, environmental education and sustainable development. The event takes place on the island of Mainau on Lake Constance. It is primarily for invited guests. If you are interested in attending, please email Markus Dressnandt to enquire if there are any places available at short notice.

  • Webinar about the Balkan lynx (19 October 2026, 6:30 PM)

    From “phantom” to “forest spirit”: The nicknames for the Balkan lynx already tell us that only few humans ever get to see this shy and very rare feline. In order to prevent the extinction of this subspecies of the Eurasian lynx, EuroNatur and its partner organisations, have launched the “Balkan Lynx Recovery Programme” 20 years ago. Employees of EuroNatur and of our partners are hosting a webinar on 19 October at 6.30 p.m., where they will provide insights into their fascinating and varied work for the protection of the Balkan lynx.

    The online event will take place using Microsoft Teams. We recommend participating via laptop or PC. If you wish to participate via smartphone or tablet, you will need to install the Microsoft Teams app in advance. After registering, you will receive an automatic confirmation email containing the link to participate.

  • Photo competition (new submissions will be accepted starting in December)

    The EuroNatur Foundation organises the prestigious ‘European Treasures of Nature’ photography competition. Photographers are invited to capture the fascinating diversity of European nature in striking images. You can find the winning photos and further information on the photo competition page.

  • Nature Conservation Days on Lake Constance (6–9 January 2027)

    An anniversary at the Nature Conservation Days! For the 50th time, nature conservation enthusiasts from all over Germany are gathering at the Milchwerk in Radolfzell to discuss the latest developments in the sector, go on joint excursions to nature reserves in the region, and take part in debates, workshops and seminars. EuroNatur is, as usual, represented with a stand in the foyer of the Milchwerk. In addition, EuroNatur project manager Siegmund Missall will be giving a talk this year on the primeval forests of the Western Balkans. Do come along!
