The Committee Against Bird Slaughter will be honored with this year's EuroNatur Award on 15 October on the island of Mainau on Lake Constance. The organisation is receiving the award in recognition of its work since 1975 to combat the illegal hunting and trapping of wild birds along Europe’s major migratory routes.
Background information: The Committee Against Bird Slaughter (CABS) is based in Bonn and is one of Europe’s outstanding bird conservation organisations. The organisation has played a key role in curbing poaching in numerous countries, thereby saving the lives of millions of migratory birds.
